"It's a ___!"

So tonight, Bret and I decided that we're going to wait until the baby is born to find out what it is! While this decision will surely drive me crazy right up until it's time to push during labor, I am so excited about this idea of Bret's! I plan to have another drug-free labor and I think by not knowing, it will give me that extra encouragment I'm going to need. I guess what this means is that I'm going to buy neutrals. I'm not a neutral kind of mommy! Ha! I like to know, Pink or Blue?! Well, I suppose the color yellow is cheerful enough to get me through the next 7-8 months! :)

  1. You will not regret this decision. We did not find out with Brianna and I have to say every parent to be needs to experience the not knowing until they are born. You will never be able to put into words what you will be feeling at that moment. It is worth the wait.

  2. You don't have to be a neutral kind of mommy!! It is always fun to go on a shopping spree after the baby is born too. No need to get everything before he/she comes. One advantage is that you should already have things for both sex. I can remember when Jenna was born, I had one pink outfit for just in case to bring her home in. When she was three days old, my mom, Jenna and I had a blast on our girlie shopping spree. Even the nursery decor can be on hold. Have fun shopping.
